My Angels

Little angels, peaceful and placid, snuggled under their blankets. As eyes open, innocent hands wipe away their proof of drowse and the vivid sense of alert takes over. Eyes wide as ever, they spring from their beds and rush at the day.

Running, jumping, pounding, thumping.

Playing, sharing, crying, daring.

Laughing, yelling, screaming, telling.

Yawning… going… tiring… slowing…

Their faces red and hearts pounding, they can’t escape the beat. Back to their pillows return their heads, their blinking slows to a stop and in the same tranquility they started the day, they succumb to their slumber, angels once again.

About Mindy

I am a mother of two boys, a disc golfer, a former derby girl, a sonographer and an aspiring writer. Sometimes words and events replay in my head endlessly until I let them out. I am verbose. I have lots to say all of the time. If there's something you'd like to know, you'd be better off asking.
