Merry Christmas, My Little Dear.

My family has traveled home to Michigan for the holiday, and we are cuddeling up, getting ready to for a (hopefully) silent night, in anticipation of Santa’s arrival. Let’s hope Santa finds Jake’s letter detailing that we are staying out of town. I have it on good authority that Santa is pretty resourceful that way…

While you’re waiting to find out if you’ve made Santa’s naughty or nice list, please enjoy these holiday sounds, proved by Benjamin’s Preschool classmates.

(psstt… Ben’s the one in the orange and brown…)

Earlier this week, I had the pleasure of accompanying my husband to Benjamin’s Preschool Christmas party. Benjamin had made Ryan and I a magnet, decorated with various beautiful gems, pistachio shells and buttons. The centerpiece of his ornament was a picture of him. He also made a precious Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer Christmas Card.  The children sang very cute songs to us (as showcased throughout the blog) and Mrs. Braun even read a “Twas the Night Before Christmas” to all us.

After the children sang, we all sat together and frosted cookies. Then, of course, we ate them up with a cup of milk. It was a really fun time.

Ben was most excited that his teachers bought each of the children a book. Ben’s book was a book about a freight train.

All in all, a great time was had by all. It was so fun to see how much Ben adores his teachers and preschool friends. It was also great hearing how the feeling was mutual, and how much progress he has made throughout the year.

Now, I’m off to try to soothe the kids to sleep and try to keep Ryan from eating Santa’s cookies…. Merry Christmas everyone!
